Dr Albert Yu
Organizing Committee Chairman, Asia Public Key Infrastructure Consortium (APKIC)

Professor Albert Yu was appointed the Organizing Committee Chairman of Asia Public Key Infrastructure Consortium 2015 International Symposium and Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum, with emphasis on leveraging his international experience and expertise in generating innovation through technology for relevant solutions. He is widely recognized for helping to shape science and high-technology in Hong Kong and Greater China as viewed globally through his work in the field of bioinformatics, neuroscience, translational medicine and molecular biology. Professor Yu is facilitating Hong Kong PKI Forum’s endeavors in communicating Cross-Border Trust Framework internationally through creation of regional and global alliances to broaden public key infrastructure.

Professor Yu is a Board Director of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Chairman of the Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization (HKBIO), an important platform aiming to excel biotechnology industry growth in Hong Kong. He is Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of Hai Kang Life Corporation Limited, Non-Official Member of Commission on Strategic Development of Central Policy Unit of Hong Kong, Director of Asian Fund for Cancer Research, Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong United Youth Science and Technology Association, Vice-Director of Neuroscience Research Institute of Peking University, Chief of Laboratory of Translational Medicine at the Institute of Systems Biomedicine of Peking University, Committee Member of Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of China, Vice-President of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, President of the Beijing Society for Neuroscience and Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology.
